A labelling partnership between Ursuit and Informa
Ursuk Oy, a manufacturer of diving and rescue diving suits, was established in 1964. The small shop in the centre of Turku offered the finest diving equipment and accessories, as well as neoprene wetsuits, available at the time. The suits were handcrafted in the shop’s backroom, always tailored specifically for each customer. Over time, the business became more industrialised, the product range grew to include a variety of dry suits, materials developed, and the target market expanded to include customers abroad. The company has grown gradually and currently has 70 employees. The company name was also recently changed to Ursuit Oy to better align with the brand.
Quality labelling also plays an essential role in the manufacturing of top-quality products. Variable information can be printed as necessary on the textile materials supplied by Informa Oy using thermal transfer printing. Thermal transfer printing and a comprehensive range of materials enable versatile labelling of textile products. The materials are designed to withstand a variety of washing and cleaning methods. The properties of the materials vary depending on whether the washing instructions will be in potential skin contact and how they are attached to the product. Our suppliers have tested the compatibility of the materials and ensured their quality and functionality.
Informa has supplied Ursuit with a CAB Squix printer system for printing high-quality textile materials. Care and use instructions designed with NiceLabel labelling software are printed on textile labels using CAB printers and sewn onto the suits.
