Sauvon Säilyke and Informa increased production efficiency
Sauvon Säilyke’s products are skilfully made from the best raw materials, respecting tradition. In 2018, the company decided to change the product packaging. The availability of pre-printed tin cans had decreased, and product-specific printing was increasing costs. By ordering large quantities of basic printed jars and adding product-specific information through labelling, significant cost savings were achieved. Warehousing and packaging material consumption were also optimised.
Products are now branded with pre-printed labels. The efficient Novexx ALS206 label dispensers apply the label without interrupting production. If one encounters an issue, the other will automatically start labelling products. At the same time, changing products becomes more efficient.
Inkjet printers were also renewed to ensure production processes, particularly for printing best-before dates. The old Markem-Imaje inkjet pronters were replaced with the new 9450 models. Positive experiences with the previous equipment justified the decision to switch to new models from the same manufacturer.
